Pirates Churchhill Home Address T.S. Eliot Quote - Going too far Religion Brotherhood

It was late July of 1999, the 31st to be exact. President Clinton had been acquitted in his impeachment trial, the Yankees had won the World Series for the 25th time, the Matrix was about to hit the theaters, and 12 Aggies would be killed when the traditional Texas A&M bonfire would collapse during construction.

The USS William H. Bates (SSN 680) would finish up her last mission early next year and tie up to the pier in Pearl Harbor to await her decommissioning ceremony in February.

We knew it was the twilight hours for the Bates, but that was all the more reason for shipmates from the seventies and eighties to gather at Warren G. Magnuson park in Seattle, Washington and throw down with the best sea stories they could muster.

Anywhere two shipmates swap stories, the boat lives on!
