...Also I'd like to welcome anyone who may have known or served with him to both the viewing and funeral this week.

Dad's phone book had surprisingly few contacts from his active duty days, and my family would be honored by their presence.

...A death notice for my dad will be running in the Wed, Aug. 10th edition of the San Diego Union-Tribune

My dad was born June 24, 1946, in Ilocos Norte, P.I., and died at his home in Paradise Hills in San Diego on Aug 1, 2016 (he managed to hang on until just a week past his 70th birthday)...

...My dad took "silent service" quite literally and, therefore, we know very little about that aspect of his life. (the SSN-680 website has) truly rekindled an even greater love and appreciation for both my dad and submariners everywhere.

Dad would be beaming.
